The Office of Digital Media envisions school libraries that are the hub of the school and are innovative, vibrant, and flexible spaces, staffed with school librarians who inspire students to become tech savvy and independent life-long readers and learners.

Our Mission

The Southern Middle School Media Center’s mission is to instill a love of reading, integrate existing and emerging technology, and inspire life-long learning for all students through digital media, meaningful instruction, and flexible spaces. 

Our Philosophy

We believe that education is a process in which students are able to foster talents and teachers can open windows of opportunity for a child's future. Receiving an education should inspire and encourage students to strive to be productive members of a community, great citizens, and meaningful contributors to society.
